When I got my start in video work, people often confused me for a photographer, seeing as we use similar tools to capture our vision. Coming from the world of moving images, I had a deep respect for the art of capturing still images. I had the fortune to work beside some incredibly talented branding photographers and portrait photographers, which inspired me to explore the world that had always been a whispering in my ear. As I embraced photography I found great joy in it, which is always the foundation for growing a skill.
Over the years, I've added photography to my professional skillset. I've delved into the world of branding photography, portraiture, photojournalism, fine art photography, and plenty of event photography. I've found a love for it, and, as a romantic, I like to think that it has found a love for me.
I've come to appreciate the earnestness, the vulnerability, and the honesty that reveals itself in a single moment. I try my best to leave the moments as undisturbed as possible, capturing just exactly what exists as it exists. I like to think that approach allows for a bit of homecoming for myself and those who approach the images.
